SeaFest ~ 1st - 3rd July 2011 Come the first weekend of July, the sheltered waters of Donegal’s Lough Swilly will spring to life with sails big and small, with the slap of oars and paddles. The shoreline and golden sands of its beaches will play natural backdrop to games and competitions, to families and friends celebrating in the unique surroundings of our coastal environment. EVENTS INCLUDE: On the water: sailing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, swimming competitions, boat excursions, powerboat treasure hunt and many more. On the Shore: the landlubber’s cup vintage fairground & beach games, beach walk, pirate walkabout street circus, try-a-dive with sheephaven sub aqua club, sea urchins workshops, sunset chorus colmchille gospel choir, seaside storytelling and many more. At the table: No celebration would be complete without plenty of coastal food culture. So expect plenty of fresh foods and 100% Donegal on the table.
